**Scope of Vegueta Journal**  
Vegueta is a journal dedicated to the humanities, welcoming both theoretical and empirical studies. The journal invites submissions that explore a range of categories, including:

**Peer Review Process**  
Vegueta is committed to publishing high-quality works that make significant contributions to the field. The decision to publish a manuscript follows a rigorous process:
 
- **Initial Assessment:** A member of the editorial board reviews the submission for quality, relevance, originality, and adherence to journal guidelines.  
- **Peer Review:** If the submission passes the initial assessment, it is sent to two anonymous peer reviewers. They evaluate the paper based on six criteria: originality, the value of the research question, methodological soundness, the quality of discussion, contribution to the field, and academic writing quality.  
- **Decision:** Based on the reviewers' feedback, a decision is made, typically within 2-3 weeks of submission.
 
**Publication Frequency**  
Vegueta publishes monthly.
 
**Open Access Policy**  
Vegueta is an open access journal, making all content freely available without charge. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles without needing permission from the publisher or author. This policy supports the global exchange of knowledge.
 
**Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement**  
Vegueta adheres to the ethical standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as outlined at the 2nd World Conference on Research Integrity in Singapore, 2010.
 
- **Editors' Duties:** Editors are responsible for making publication decisions, ensuring fair and unbiased evaluation, maintaining confidentiality, and avoiding conflicts of interest. Editors must also cooperate in investigations of potential misconduct.
  
- **Reviewers' Duties:** Reviewers assist in editorial decisions and help improve the manuscript. They must provide objective reviews, maintain confidentiality, and disclose any conflicts of interest.
  
- **Authors' Duties:** Authors are expected to present accurate, original research, properly acknowledge sources, and avoid multiple submissions. They must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and correct significant errors in their published work.
