THE USE OF ONLINE CONSULTING APPLICATIONS BY STUDENTS DURING THE PANDEMIC
Abstract
Currently, there are many online consultation applications for Indonesian teenagers to share their problems with. One such application is Sobatmu. During the pandemic, Sobatmu which provide services via email, Instagram, and android application deal with various problems faced by teenagers. Most of the teenagers are college students. This study aims to describe what problems they face and how the consultation session went between students and the consultants. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The study was conducted by observing discussions between the students and consultants from August to September 2021. The results showed that students’ problems varied from academic, love relationships, friendship, problems with lecturers, and college final assignments. Sobatmu’s consultant gives advice and talks like a friend so that the teenagers feel comfortable in communicating.
