INTERNATIONAL LAWS AND PERSPECTIVES ON GREEN HUMAN RESOURCE PRACTICES IN INDIA
Abstract
This research explores the alignment of Green Human Resource Practices (GHRP) in India with international environmental laws and frameworks. It examines how global regulations, including the Paris Agreement and the UN Global Compact, influence HR practices within Indian organizations. The study finds that while there is a growing adoption of green HR initiatives in India, significant gaps remain in fully aligning these practices with international standards. Key findings highlight the importance of integrating these global frameworks to enhance corporate sustainability and ensure compliance. The paper underscores the critical role of GHRP in promoting environmental responsibility, improving organizational performance, and achieving competitive advantages in the global market. Recommendations include strengthening regulatory frameworks and increasing stakeholder engagement to better align Indian practices with international norms. This alignment is essential for advancing sustainability and contributing to global environmental goals.
